Your Comments, My Replies: Let's Do This
...okay, so when I said I'd do it Wednesday, I meant "Wednesday, provided that I have the energy to get to it before heading out to my weekly trivia at the gaming pub." Ah well; better late, etc.
So here we go:
Steff: Thank you, hon! I think expressions are truly the foundation of my work. I pretty much know what to do once I have them drafted up.

Razer: If not a T-Shirt, then...no, it SHOULD be a T-Shirt. Because offensive words on T-Shirts is okay with me. :3
Cary: And if he's wearing glasses, the desire to get into said pants goes up about 900%. ^.~
I keep trying to improve those expressions, as odd as that probably sounds! As for Dante, he's really hard for me to draw, so when I feel I get him right, it seems to show, so thank you for pointing that out.

Anyway! I'm hard at work on the next Vicious World comic 'zine, which I will divulge more information on in due time, including the first Christmas special in nearly three years!

Vicious World: 1.32 (Possibly the final update? LOL HIATUS)
So,. here we go: the final page of the first chapter and what is likely the last update for a little while. While my muse did return, it insists on working on the short stories--you know, the ones found in some of the printed books (a good example is also the Halloween short from 2008, which you can easily find on my devArt, unless you have the mature filter on!). So I've been working more on those for the time being.
I don't know how long I plan to make this hiatus last. Until the muse properly returns? Anyway, I will be posting content periodically, so this blog will not be left to collect dust!

Vicious World 1.31
...work's really kicking my ass this week (hence the lack of replies...). And the muse still will not return, no matter what.
But I did manage one page this week...I do apologise for the unfortunate page count, but as you all know, my desire to work on this series right now is still nowhere to be found. Still, I don't want to give up.
Anyway, on with this week's page:
So, Chris has divulged the crucial information that Dana told him: that aside from himself and Dante, there's a third suspect in the "mystery beatings"...also, Seong-Ho finds Dante's random laughter disturbing. Chris is more of the "Oh look; he's laughing again." reaction.

Vicious World: 1.29 & 1.30
Sunday already? That must mean it's time for the weekly Vicious World update!
My muses still won't come back out to play, but whatever; the muse is being a little bitch. On with the pages:
...Seong-Ho's shirt may be familiar to anyone who follows my facebook. Also, you'll notice that Dante doesn't want Chris smoking inside his apartment...and he just doesn't want Seong-Ho inside his apartment at all, either. XD
Chapter 1 is almost wrapped up. I can't make any promises due to real life keeping me busy, but I'll try to have something of significance to post about soon!

Vicious World: 1.27 & 1.28 + MESSAGE
Hey guys; time for your weekly dose of Vicious World.
You'll have to forgive my lack of enthusiasm--as some of you know (namely those who follow my devArt page and/or Facebook), I've grown really frustrated working on this series as of recent--a large part of it is the fact that I've been unable to allow time to devote towards things like setting up an archive, character art, and just artwork in general! Another factor is that I'm literally uninspired to work on this, especially because I've become so used to working on the "Archie-on-crack" styled shorts that are featured in the printed comic 'zines.
There's also the matter of my day job, commissions, and other projects that I'm gradually working on; most of which have left me very exhausted (especially the day job).
I've also been extremely negligent in replying to comments as of late--please be aware that I do read everything you all post, so please don't think I'm ignoring you. What I'll do is I'll simply reply to the comments in their corresponding journal, rather than make a new post in the journal as usual.
Anyway. Thanks for being patient and understanding thus far. On with the pages:

Vicious World 1.25 & 1.26, or: DANTE APPEARS; READERSHIP INCREASES A HUNDRED-FOLD
...okay; a bit of a joke there. Anyway, I won't say too much except that this past week was rather exhausting as I worked longer hours at work, and as a result was unable to complete the archives (I will work on it this week), and I neglected to handle reader comments, which WILL be taken care of Tuesday.
In the meantime: Dante Dane's official debut in the new continuity.
...and there you go, so far. This is also the first appearance of Seong-Ho's main skateboard, for those who care about such trivia. Regarding Dante; I feel it would be better to introduce him as someone you wouldn't think is anything other than some hungover, surly British guy who sleeps until four in the afternoon.
Next week: Chris tells his story! There's fighting involved!

Vicious World: 1.23 & 1.24!
Is it Sunday already? Hey; no reason to complain, though, because that means it's time for the weekly Vicious World fix, with the conclusion of last week's scene that brought in Dana Dane, and revealed a very interesting side to Seong-Ho...
I know what you're all asking yourselves: what did Dana and Chris discuss, and why aren't we in on it? Patience, my lovelies; all will be revealed as things continue to run its course.

Vicious World is BACK! 1.19 & 1.20
After a rather abrupt hiatus due to what was a really lackluster AWA, Vicious World is back, ladies and gentlemen! I promised that there would be four pages, and I intend to fulfill it, but I'm going to do this a bit differently: 1.19 and 1.20 are now live, and 1.21 & 1.22 will go live Sunday at 3:00pm EST!

Vicious World: 1.17 & 1.18!
Hot on the heels of AWA, I've got another update--and on time, no less! I will be posting details regarding the update schedule for 19 & 20, but for now, let's enjoy a glimpse at the school life that Chris and Seong-Ho endure...oh say, a Tadasuke is fine, too!
This marks the first canonical appearance of Chris in his glasses (it's only ever appeared in sketches and artwork), as well as the study hall setting. Public settings are difficult for me since I have to draw all sorts of background people. Hopefully I can become more comfortable with this as I go along.

Vicious World 1.15 & 1.16!
Hello my lovelies! It's time for another update, which is a bit late, but on time (hey, it's still Sunday here!). For those not in the know, I've been at Dragon*Con, which is the most fantastic, fabulous costume party in the Southeast!
Anyway, let's go ahead and deliver that fix you all crave:
...and there's your next character--some of you remember him from the old version; for those of you new, he's none other than Tomohiko "Myko" Suda. As with Tadasuke, I'm reconfiguring his purpose in the series. As you can see, he's made a torture victim out of the guy that was trying to break into the building from earlier. Matters regarding the incident will be made more clear as the story goes, of course.
Anyway--two pages await next week! And contest news will be posted Monday!

VICIOUS WORLD 1.13 & 1.14
HAI GUYS. Okay, so I'm a bit late with the update (it's 3am as of this writing), but Shadi needed some social tiem and boy did she get it! So I'm doing my best to be coherent but you don't care so long as you get your fix--I like that spirit! So without further ado because it's late and I'm tired, here's your pages:
For those familiar with the old continuity, you'll recall this rivalry that Tadasuke and Chris had. While this rivalry doesn't take the spotlight right away this time, you will get more of an understanding as to why such a rivalry exists other than "LOL I'M BETTR THAN U LET'S FIGHT, K" like the old version was.

Vicious World: 1.10, 1.11, 1.12!
Hey guys! So I'm a bit late with getting the pages up, but at 3am, I'm not doing too badly, I hope! I had a birthday Friday, and then the weather has been just awful to boot--thunderstorms, please don't arrive until AFTER I've edited my pages!
Anyway, let's get this on the road--Hirano Tadasuke makes his return (or rather, debut):
Does this suggest that he's the one beating up all those guys? Mayyyybe. Did he just spot Chris and is gonna challenge him in next week's installment? Mayyyybe. ;3

Vicious World: 1.8 and 1.9!
Sunday already? YES! And while I wasn't able to give you guys a preview, at least take comfort in knowing that I have the pages here, in full, and ready to read. As the pattern seems to be as of late, another face joins the crowd: that's right, Chris' Korean Love Bride (lol not really), Seong-Ho. YOUR PAGES:
For those curious, they are playing Tekken 6, and are communicated via Bluetooth phones (apparently Chris can't be bothered to get a gaming mic for some reason). Chris' adversity towards his book report of "Wuthering Heights" echoes my own experience from high school when I had to read it for my honours British Literature class. I couldn't finish the book because it was so insufferably dull and wound up referencing the Cliff Notes.
Anyway! There are your pages this week, and as I'm sure you've all seen, there's new artwork at vicious-violet dot com. If you've not seen it, go go GO, or wait until I post it somewhere.
Also, next week you guys will be treated to three pages, and yes; another character gets introduced. Goody!

Vicious World: 1.5, 1.6 AND 1.7!
As I promised last week, you guys are getting spoiled with an additional page! So let's do this thing since one week is a long time to wait for more pages:
CHRIS FINALLY APPEARS!...in a cameo, as Nozomi and Naomi fill Yukari in on what's going on, since as you all now have learned, Yukari is a fairly new resident and doesn't know. But do the girls really know? Oh yeah, and have a Dante Dane sighting.

Anyway, next week brings in more characters. Who will be introduced next time...?

Vicious World Vol.1 pages 3 & 4
It's Sunday, and that means it's time for your weekly dose of Vicious World! This week brings in the schoolgirl trio, whom some of you may remember from the original version.
From left to right: Yukari Odachi, Nozomi Minami, and Naomi Hidari. As you can see, the latter two have a fondness for shonen-ai and yaoi, whereas Yukari just doesn't see the appeal of illustrated "lady-boys".
And yes, another cliffhanger this week, and still no Chris. *ducks* However, next week's update will bring three pages rather than two, so hey. :D
(And before anyone wonders, the areas where the girls speak in English are intentional. Also, it will be better established that they go to a private school, though Odachi is clearly pushing the dress code.).

VICIOUS WORLD VOL.1 PAGES 1&2
